About the Commission

The Royal Commission on Grooming Gangs was established by The Scottish Crown in early 2025 to investigate systemic failures, uncover the truth, and deliver justice for survivors.

Following the UK Government’s announcement of a full Statutory Inquiry, this independent initiative continues to serve as a public oversight body — ensuring the inquiry remains survivor-led, independent, and transparent.

Our Objectives

  • Expose and document systemic failures that enabled grooming gangs to operate unchecked.
  • Provide survivors a safe, confidential platform to share their testimony.
  • Hold public bodies and individuals accountable for negligence or complicity.
  • Recommend structural legal and policy reforms to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure the UK Government inquiry remains survivor-led and politically impartial.

Submit Evidence

In light of the UK Government’s full Statutory Inquiry, the independent submission portal has been paused to prevent duplication. Official government contact details will be posted here once released.

The Scottish Crown continues to monitor proceedings to ensure survivor leadership and transparency.
